SPLENDID HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Equipment remains the property of Splendid Hire.

2. The hirer warrants that the person signing the delivery note is duly authorised to do so on behalf of the Hirer and the person signing this delivery note warrants that he/she is duly authorised to sign on behalf of the hirer. It is admitted that the person signing the delivery note had the opportunity to inspect the hired equipment and confirm the equipment is received in good condition.

3. The hirer is fully responsible for the equipment and for insuring the equipment, if necessary, from the time of acceptance until returned to our premises. No insurance is provided by Splendid Hire.

4. The Hirer must provide a suitable vehicular access for delivery and collection. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that their delivery/collection instructions and arrangements are consistent with parking restrictions. Splendid Hire reserves the right to pass on to the hirer the cost of any fines incurred due to delivery/collection instructions which neglect or ignore parking restrictions.

5. Equipment should be checked by the Hirer before use and any deficiencies should be reported immediately to Splendid Hire.

6. Full Payment, including a security deposit, must be made before goods are released. A minimum security deposit of £150.00 or 50% of the amount of the hire charges (whichever is the greater) will be charged on each order. The deposit, less the replacement cost of breakages or losses, is returned after the equipment has been checked by authorised Splendid Hire staff. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement cost, the hirer is liable for the balance.

7. In the event of losses or breakages, the full replacement cost will be charged to the hirer.

8. The hirer shall return all glass crates, boxes, and linen bags supplied by the company. Failure to return these items to the company will result in a charge for their full replacement costs being made against the hirer.

9. All charges are for a standard 3-day hire, this includes 1 day prior to hire and the following day after the hire period. If the hire period is over a weekend, then equipment must be returned on Monday immediately following. Terms for a longer period of hire are to be negotiated prior to collection/delivery.

10. Cancellation of orders within 5 days of date of hire is chargeable at 50% hire charge. Within 72 hours at full hire charge.

11. Cutlery, crockery, and silverware must be rinsed after use. Under no circumstances should scourers or abrasives be used on any hired equipment.

12. Table linen must not be returned or stored damp or wet. Damage resulting from mildew or other stains and burn marks that will not respond to laundering will be charged at full replacement cost.

13. We reserve the right to change any price without the need to give prior notice.

14. In the event that any equipment, which doesn’t belong to Splendid Hire is returned to our premises, we will only hold this equipment on site for a maximum of 2 months, after which it will be disposed of.

15. Acceptance of goods and services from us implies that you have accepted our terms and conditions.
